Marseille Settle for Draw, Courtesy of Greenwood's Late Heroics

Greenwood Rescues a Point for Marseille

Marseille's Winning Streak Snapped by Lille

After a string of impressive victories, Olympique de Marseille were held to a 1-1 draw by Lille on Sunday, with teenager Mason Greenwood scoring a late equalizer for the visitors.

Following a goalless first half, Lille took the lead through Jonathan David in the 57th minute. The Canadian striker latched onto a loose ball in the Marseille penalty area and fired home from close range.

Marseille pushed for an equalizer and were rewarded in the 89th minute when Greenwood, on loan from Manchester United, headed in a cross from Cengiz Ünder.

Greenwood Continues to Impress

Greenwood's goal was his third in five Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille, and he has now scored in each of his last three games.

The 20-year-old has quickly become a fan favorite at the Stade Vélodrome, and his performances have helped Marseille climb to third in the league standings.

Greenwood's loan spell at Marseille is a reminder of his immense potential. He is a player with a bright future, and he is sure to continue to make waves in French football.

Lille Maintain Unbeaten Start

Despite conceding a late equalizer, Lille remain unbeaten in Ligue 1 this season.

Paulo Fonseca's side have now drawn three of their five games, but they remain in the top half of the table.

Lille will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten start when they face Montpellier next weekend.

Marseille's Winning Streak Ends

Marseille's draw with Lille ended their four-game winning streak in Ligue 1.

Igor Tudor's side had been in impressive form, but they were unable to maintain their momentum against a stubborn Lille team.

Marseille will be hoping to bounce back from this setback when they face Lens next weekend.
