Edwards Scores Playoff Career-High 43 Points
The Minnesota Timberwolves kicked off their Western Conference Semifinals series against the defending champion Denver Nuggets with a resounding 106-99 victory. The Timberwolves were led by Anthony Edwards, who exploded for a playoff career-high 43 points.
Edwards was unstoppable in the game, shooting 15-of-26 from the field and 6-of-11 from beyond the arc. He also grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.
The Timberwolves also got a big boost from Naz Reid, who scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to help ice the game. Reid finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds on the night.
The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic, who had 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists. However, Jokic's supporting cast was unable to keep pace with Edwards and the Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves will look to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Nuggets in Game 2 on Thursday night.
